CraftWorld BETA 2.6 Approved!

So it would seem that CraftWorld BETA was approved and is now availible in the Marketplace. Wahoo! Now we can get to testing this update before the next update to FREE and PAID is unleased upon the world. The more we can learn quickly, the quicker we can resolve any issues and get version 2.6.5 out to Free and Paid!

The main goal here, is save file compatibility. If there are any issues, let us know and upload your files to the cloud so we can download them with our special 2.0 Cloud tool and conduct our own testing.

The new version didn’t work at all. It crashes on start after 2.0 logo.

I can’t play the latest update! It shows the 2.0 studios screen then comes up with an error screen. I redownloaded and managed to play it once, but its not working again. Please look into dis

Will there ever be an option to convert a creative world to survival mode? It would be nice to explore the world you’ve spent so much time building, especially when multiplayer is an option. If you’re worried about somebody phasing in and out to materialize tool components and avoid zombies, why not make it a one time thing? I.e. You can convert creative maps to survival maps, but you can’t change a survival map to a creative map. There should also be some sort of indicator for worlds that have been in survival mode from the start. For bragging rights, you see?

    • Jarryd says:

Wow, that’s scary. We’ve been discussing that. That saves ARE compatible, but it would be some hardcore cheating to do so. We’re thinking more in the lines of mulitplayer. Build a map in a creative (like halo’s forge) and play gametypes on it.

mine crashed as well :( i have a Lg wp7.5 phone and it has not made it past the logo screen once out of 5 tries.

The game didn’t work for me as well. But when I came back, my little brother was playing it and it worked well. I was able to store my game on the cloud successfully and use the creative mode as well. I was wondering if you could add the crafting table and furnace to creative mode though. Thanks!

    PS- This game is awesome!

Windows 7 Samsung focus and I haven’t received the update yet. Is there a faster way to get the update?

  • ram says:

how do you smelt and use workbench in creative mode?

    • Jarryd says:

That’s price you pay for unlimited blocks and items without degradation. No smelting, no crafting in Creative.

However there is a Hybrid mode coming later on. It’s still at the design stage. In 2.7 there are more items in creative.

Can you give any information on how the xbox version is coming along? I’m really looking forward to it! :) Thanks.

  • John Roth says:

I am also curios about the Xbox version. Does this post mean that once you test and squash the bugs in this version you’ll be submitted it to the Indie marketplace? I’ve been visiting the site and watching the development of Craftworld almost since you started. I’m excited to see it so close to completion to the point where we can play it! Do you happen to have a list of working features that will be playable once it has been released?

    • Jarryd says:

      “List of Working Features”

I’ll add a page to the milestones section of this site for that. Good idea John.

I like that CraftWorld is something that worth looking forward too, we are doing our best to make something fun :)

Submission to the indie marketplace? We’ve been able to submit for a while now, but are holding back to get it polished. It’s been the big mistake we’ve made on our older titles, and we are correcting that with CraftWorld. We’re getting close now. I’m gonna have kittens when this finnally drops on PC and Xbox.

      • John Roth says:

Cool! Thanks for the info! I actually figured it out just going back and reading the old blog entries that you don’t have a 360 version just quite yet… but I’ll continue to be patient and watch for future updates. The game looks great so far!

  • Luke says:

    Thanks. :)
